Class Schedule

This course includes CPR/AED for All Ages and Basic First Aid.

Some additional First Aid topics that may be included are tourniquets, wound packing, splinting, general patient assessment, and more.

This class will be held at the Mat-su Job Center - 877 W Commerical Drive, Wasilla, AK

This course is CPR/AED for the Healthcare provider which is taught using AHA standards for high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants. This is the 4-hour in-person format of this course, which is also offered in a blended format.

 

Cost: $99/student

This course includes everything teenagers need to know for safe and successful babysitting. From getting started with their business, to dealing with parents and children, to key safety, caregiving, and first aid tips. Students will receive a Child and Babysitting Safety card, a CPR card, and a Child and Babysitting Safety book. Recommended for ages 10-16 years old.

Cost: $125/student

This course includes an in-depth look at the patient assessment, how to be better prepared and respond in a remote outdoor setting with limited resources and longer care times. We discuss the following topics, and more:

  • Bleeding Control
  • Major Trauma
  • Burns
  • Head, Neck, and Back Injuries
  • Musculoskeletal Injuries and Splinting
  • Extended Injury Managment
  • Altered Mental Status

  • CPR and AED Use
  • Environmental Emergencies
  • Drowning
  • Emotional Considerations

Students will recieve both a Wilderness First Aid certification as well as a CPR/AED certification.

Cost: $350/student

The Emergency Trauma Technician (ETT) training program is a 44 hour course (online and in-person) that covers the basics of emergency medical care. This course provides training in basic life support, such as splinting, bleeding control, CPR/AED, oxygen therapy, and patient assessment as well as patient assisted medication administration. Students will recieve an ETT and a BLS for healthcare providers certificate upon successful completion.

This is only the hands-on portion of the ETT course (16 hours). In order to participate in this course, you must first purchase and complete the online portion through Southeast Region EMS Council.

This course is the blended learning option for ASHI's CPR/AED (All Ages) and Basic First Aid course. If you register for this course, you will need to call the office to schedule your in-person skills test after completing the online course.

The online course is issued by our office staff during regular business hours, so please be aware if you are signing up in the evening or on a weekend that it will not be issued until the next business day.

This course is the blended learning option for HSI's Bloodborne Pathogen course . If you register for this course, you will need to call the office to schedule your in-person skills test after completing the online portion.

This is CPR/AED only, and can vary including Adults only, Infants and Children only, or a combination of the three.

This is the First Aid Only. Topics include general patient assessment, epi-pen use, and glove removal. Many optional topics may be added to this course for more information.

Please make sure you have completed your online module (https://shopcpr.heart.org/heartcode-bls) before attending the skills check. Please bring a printed copy of your completion certificate, or email a copy to info@frontiersafetyandsupply.com.

Scheduling Policy: Unless otherwise arranged, pre-payment is required secure a seat in class. Walk-ins are welcome, but only allowed if space is available.

Group Scheduling: Please email: info@frontiersafetyandsupply.com with the course type, class date and time, students names, email addresses, and contact phone numbers, as well as a contact to email an invoice to.

Cancellation and Refund Policy: No call/No show - no refund will be given. A minimum of 3-day (72-hour) notice is expected for a full refund. If you have not completed the online portion of a blended course before the first day of class, you will not be allowed to attend class, and a refund will not be issued.

At the discretion of the training center, classes who do not meet the minimum required number of students may be cancelled or rescheduled. A full refund will be issued for cancelled courses.
